Still We Stand

Since 1979, World Relief has welcomed and served thousands of refugees in Georgia. In partnership with the local Church, we exist to see the body of Christ spiritually enriched by the experience of coming alongside these vulnerable populations.

Recently, our existence has been challenged by the current political climate. We have had to cut expenses and reduce our staff. Yet still we stand. We stand committed to applying our expertise to serving refugees and immigrants on the path to successful integration in the United States regardless of how long they have been here. And we stand committed to mobilizing the local Church to ensure that refugees and immigrants experience the love of Jesus Christ.

Will You Stand With Us?

Observed annually on June 20, World Refugee Day commemorates the strength and perseverance of refugees. During the month of June, consider making a financial commitment in honor of World Refugee Day to support World Relief as we commit to the long-term, multi-generational integration of refugees through holistic programming. Beyond the month of June, we would also like to invite you to consider becoming a regular donor to World Relief

Our calling is to stand with the vulnerable. Whatever it takes, and wherever it takes us, we remain faithful to our call. Will you stand with us?

What Does it Mean to Stand With Us?

For A Church

We are inviting churches to make a financial commitment of any amount to World Relief in honor of World Refugee Day. Consider World Relief as a ministry to support through your church missions budget. Organize a special offering in honor of World Refugee Day. Encourage different ministries within your church to plan group fundraising activities like a car wash or bake sale.

We are also inviting churches to consider becoming a regular donor to World Relief. Your church can commit to a special offering every World Refugee Day. You could select World Relief as a ministry partner regularly supported by your church missions budget. Your church could even contribute once a month through our online giving platform.

For An Individual

We are inviting individuals to participate in our peer-to-peer fundraising campaign. You can become an individual fundraiser through our online campaign platform. Once you sign up, you can personalize your own campaign page and challenge your personal network to contribute financially toward the work of World Relief by sharing your page through text, email, or social media. If you are unable to become a fundraiser, consider giving to our office fundraising campaign. Our campaign will run through the month of June. For more information, email atlantavc@wr.org
